Heard Sri B.B.Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. Impleadment application no. 2 of 2025 is disposed of under Chapter XXII Rule 5 of the Rules of the Court, 1952. By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus for consideration of his claim for compassionate appointment on account of his father dying-in-harness on 21.1.2024 while working with respondent establishment. It is claimed that petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment is liable to be considered in accordance with law.
