Originally, this petition was filed by only petitioner no.1, but subsequently the remaining petitioners also joined him, as they also got named in the Chargesheet. Quashing of the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom is sought solely on the ground, alleging that the petitioners have compromised the disputes with the prosecutrix (respondent no.2 herein), who supports the petition. The State (respondent no.1 herein) strongly opposes this petition. I heard learned counsel for the petitioners, supported by the counsel for respondent no.2 and learned Additional Standing Counsel for State. 2.
