The relief sought in this petition is for direction to the respondents to grant the benefit of remission as provided under Section 432/433 of Cr.P.C. and 371/372 BNSS and release him from jail. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as the petitioner has already undergone 17 years of rigorous/actual imprisonment (19 years with remission), the respondents may be directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner as provided under Section 432/433 of Cr.P.C. and 371/372 BNSS and release him on bail. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition and issue notice to the respondents for filing counter affidavit. 5.
