Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State- respondents. 2. The present writ petition has been preferred with the following prayer: "I. Issue writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent respondent no.3 to take decision on the application filed by the petitioner for grant of parole (short term relese) from Jail for the treatment of his wife and also to manage the expenses for the same on 29.1.2025 within stipulated period of time fixed by this Hon'ble court." 3. It is pressed that the petitioner has been in jail for more than ten years and during this period, his conduct and behaviour have been good. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to the serious illness of his wife and in order to manage the expenses for her treatment, he is inclined to sell his property. He
