The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a writ, order, rule, or direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing respondent no. 2 to register the First Information Report of petitioner no. 2 and to conduct investigation in accordance with law. 3. After substantial arguments, we posed a pointed query to the learned counsel for the petitioners as to what prompted the filing of the instant writ petition; however, no satisfactory response was furnished. 4.
