Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for the State respondents. 2. By means of the instant petition, the petitioner has prayed for following principal reliefs:- "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent a 1st set to take appropriate decision on the application of petitioner dated 4.12.2024 (contained in Annexure No.1 to writ petition) and protect life and liberty of the petitioner guaranteed under the law; (ii) Issue any other writ, or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case; 3. After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his prayer only to the extent that on account of perception of threat, he has moved the application/representation dated 04.12.2024 before the respondent No.1 and the sam
