This bail application under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been moved on behalf of accused- applicant, Gufran, seeking enlargement on bail in Case Crime No. 56 of 2023, under Sections 3, 5(2) of U.P. Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021, Police Station- Dhampur, District- Bijnor. Learned counsel for the applicant argued that the accused- applicant is innocent. He has been falsely implicated in this very case crime number and is languishing in jail since 09.02.2025. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is not named in the FIR. Nothing incriminating has been recovered from possession of the applicant. He has criminal antecedent of one case and there is no likelihood of his fleeing from course of justice
