This bail application has been preferred by the accused- applicant, Bunti Ram, who is involved in Case Crime No.207 of 2023, under Sections- 8/20/29 of N.D.P.S. Act, Police Station- Chopan, District- Sonbhadra. 248 Kg and 100 gram of ganja have allegedly been recovered from the possession of two persons including the applicant. Learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that by way of Notification dated 23 December, 2022, the Union Government has notified the enactment Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Seizure, Storage, Sampling and Disposal) Rules, 2022. Chapter II of the aforesaid rules provide for Sampling of the contraband substance. Rule 10 categorically provides that: 10.
