The present bail application under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed on behalf of applicant, Manoj Kumar Sahani, with a prayer to release him on bail in Case Crime No. 228 of 2024, under Section 3/5A/8 of U.P. Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955, Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 & 325 of B.N.S.,Police Station- Alinagar,District-Chandauli. In the prosecution case, it is alleged that the police party received information from the secret informer that a pick up van carrying cattle for slaughtering is going to West Bengal via Bihar. On this information, the pick up van was stopped and searched. In the container of the van, one live and nine dead cattle were found. There is no independent witness of the recovery.
