The petitioner’s son, now deceased-Akshay Shinde was accused of the aforesaid offence and a crime bearing C.R. No.380/2024 was registered against him with the Badlapur (East) Police Station, Thane, alleging offences punishable under Sections 65(2), 74, 75, 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (`BNS’) along with Sections 4(2), 8 and 10 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (‘POCSO’) Act.
