By way of these applications, the applicants seek grant of regular bail in SC No. 356/2022, arising out of DRI/DZU/34/ ENQ- 01/2022, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8/20/29 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 [hereafter ‘NDPS Act‟]. 2. Briefly stated, the facts of the present case, as discernible from the record, are that on 01.02.2022, the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Ahmedabad Zonal Unit, had informed the Assistant Director of the DRI, Delhi Zonal Unit, New Delhi, that intelligence had been received regarding certain individuals involved in the trafficking of a narcotic substance, specifically charas, in commercial quantity.
