See How Your Team Uses Niyam

Team usage analytics show credits and activity per seat so you can plan top-ups and spot who needs help.

What changed

The Team section now includes an analytics view showing how credits and activity are distributed across every seat in the workspace. Owners and admins can see the workspace total for a chosen period, a per-member breakdown of credits consumed, activity levels for each seat, and the shared balance remaining — all in one screen, without having to piece the picture together from the credit transaction history.

The view is built around two practical questions that arise whenever a team shares a credit balance. First, who is using how much, and is the usage distributed in a way that makes sense? Second, is a top-up due, and when? Having both answers visible at the same time makes routine workspace management much faster.

How to use it

  1. Open the Team section and navigate to Analytics.
  2. Select a time period to scope the view — a week, a billing month, or a custom date range.
  3. Review the workspace total at the top to see aggregate credits consumed across all seats for the period.
  4. Scan the per-member list to see each seat's individual usage and activity level.
  5. Check the remaining shared balance to judge whether a top-up is needed before the team runs low.
  6. Use the credit transaction history for a line-by-line view of individual credit movements when you need more detail than the analytics summary provides.

Why it matters

When credits are pooled across a workspace, fairness and operational continuity both depend on visibility. Without a usage view, the first indication that the shared balance is running low is often a member hitting a limit mid-task — exactly the moment when running out creates the most disruption. Analytics give you enough lead time to top up before the team is affected, rather than reacting after the shortfall has already occurred.

Activity levels tell a different story. A seat that shows consistently low usage is often a sign that a team member has not yet found their footing with the product rather than a sign that they have no work to do. Seeing that pattern clearly in the analytics makes it easier to offer the right support at the right time, whether that is a walkthrough, a demonstration, or simply a check-in conversation.

The combination of usage and activity data also helps with planning. Usage that rises sharply before a busy court period becomes a visible trend, making it easier to anticipate a top-up in advance rather than reacting to a shortfall mid-week.

Good to know

  • Analytics are visible to owners and admins only. Individual members can view their own usage in their personal account settings but cannot see the breakdown for the full workspace.
  • The view shows usage and activity levels, not the content of anyone's work. You can see that a seat spent credits on research or drafting tasks, but not the substance of the research or the contents of the drafts.
  • The analytics summary and the credit transaction history are complementary tools. Analytics rolls usage up by person for team-level oversight; transaction history shows every individual credit movement in chronological order.
  • The view updates as the team works throughout the day, so the picture stays current without needing to wait for an end-of-day refresh.
  • Credit top-ups post to the shared balance immediately and are reflected in the remaining balance shown in analytics.
