The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant minimum of pay scale along with D.A. attached to the post of Peon-cum-Chowkidar in the light of the law laid down by Hon’ble Supreme Court in State of Punjab Vs. Jagjit Singh and others : 2016(4) SCT 641 and to regularize the services of the petitioner as Peon-cum-Chowkidar on completion of 10 years of service in accordance with law laid down by this Court in CWP-13015-2021 tilted as ‘Manak Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others’ and other connected matters decided on 19.01.2026. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner has also served legal notice dated 12.03.2026 (Annexure P-11) to the respondents which is still pending consideration.
