The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari for quashing the Notification dated 19.01.2024 (Annexure P-4), issued by respondent No.3-Finance Department, so long as it limits the salary to a fixed amount along with increments being contrary to Article 14 of the Constitution of India and the principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’. Further, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the petitioners minimum of pay scale + dearness allowance + grade pay + other allowance along with arrears in lieu of the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in State of Punjab Vs. Jagjit Singh : (2017) 1 SCC 148 from the day the petitioners have completed their 10 years of service with the respondent
