Present petition has been filed praying for quashing/modification of the condition imposed in order dated 18.02.2025 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Karnal in CRA No.46 of 2025 whereby the petitioner was directed to deposit 20% of the compensation amount under section 148 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was prosecuted in a complaint filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (for short ‘the Act’). He has submitted that the petitioner was convicted by learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Assandh, Karnal under Sections 138 & 142 of the Act vide judgment dated 21/23.01.2025 and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of 01 year and was ordered to pay POOJA SHARMA 2026.05.27 18:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of
