The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay maternity leave salary to them on their regular pay scale instead of fixed monthly salary, as they have successfully completed their probation period during maternity leave and consequently became entitled to full regular salary alongwith Grade Pay, Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances, particularly in view of the speaking order dated 18.12.2025 (Annexure P-11), alongwith interest @ 12% per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also served legal notice dated 22.01.2026 (Annexure P-8) to the respondents which is still pending consideration.
