The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6 and to take action on their representation dated 23.05.2026 (Annexure P-5). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have recently filed a representation on 23.05.2026 before the Superintendent of Police, Fatehabad (Annexure P-5) raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon.
