The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent No.4 to 6 and to take action on their representation dated 22.05.2026 (Annexure P-6). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have recently filed a representation on 22.05.2026 before the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (Annexure P-6) raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to decide
