The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant interest @ 18% per annum on the delayed release of retiral dues, i.e. gratuity and pension. 2. On 03.11.2023, the following order was passed by this Court:- “The petitioner has sought direction to the respondents to grant interest @ 18% per annum on the delayed payment of gratuity amounting to Rs.10,19,338/- and pension amounting to Rs.5,44,000/-, the petitioner having retired from service on 30.04.2022 on attaining the age of superannuation. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the gratuity amount, which became due on 30.04.2022, was released only on 27.06.2023, whereas the pensionary benefits, payable w.e.f.
