The criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of directions to respondent Nos. 2 to 4 to provide adequate protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 5 and 6, who are allegedly extending threats through calls and SMS messages. The petitioners have also prayed for a direction to respondent No. 2 to decide their representation dated 19.05.2026 in a time- bound manner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has preferred a representation/complaint dated 19.05.2026 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, but no action has been taken so far.
