The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and to consider and decide the representation dated 11.05.2026 in a time-bound manner, in accordance with law. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has preferred a representation/complaint dated 11.05.2026 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhaina, but no action has been taken so far.
