The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Lecturer (Physical Education) from the date her juniors were promoted, vide letter dated 03.07.2016 (Annexure P-7), particularly in view of promotion orders dated 28.04.2025 (Annexure P-8), passed by the respondent-department, whereby similarly situated employees/fellow employees have already been promoted as Lecturer (Physical Education) w.e.f. 03.07.2016 and to grant her all consequential benefits, arrears of pay and interest @ 9% per annum. 2.
