The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and decide claim of the petitioners for re-allotment against the vacant station in a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory manner, particularly in view of letters dated 18.02.2026 & 06.05.2026 (Annexures P-7 & P-8), whereby the department reconsidered and granted readjustment to similarly situated employees pursuant to the orders dated 05.03.2025, 20.11.2025 & 17.04.2026 (Annexures P-4 to P-6) passed by this Court. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also served legal notice dated 27.02.2026 (Annexure P-3) to the respondents which is still pending consideration.
