The present writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking appropriate directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members from threats, intimidation and harassment allegedly caused by the private respondents, and to take action against them for circulating defamatory and derogatory content on social media platforms, including Instagram, as well as to restrain them from falsely implicating or harassing the petitioner and his wife. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has already filed representation dated 15.05.2026 (Annexure P-2) before the Director General of Police, Punjab and the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, however, no action has been taken on the same till date.
