The present petition has been filed under Section 482 BNSS seeking grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.05 dated 16.01.2026 registered under Sections 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act, with Section 308(2) BNS added later, at Police Station Sector-19, Chandigarh. 2. The case of the prosecution is that the FIR was registered regarding a firing incident at the house of complainant Ankit Sidana situated at House No.3083, Sector-21D, Chandigarh. During the course of investigation, co-accused Narinder Dhir @ Akash was arrested and interrogated. During interrogation, he allegedly disclosed that the present petitioner had provided cash as well as the weapon used in the commission of the offence and that after use, the weapon was handed back to the petitioner. On the basis of the said disclosure statement, the petitioner came to be nominated
