The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 10 and to take action on their representation dated 12.05.2026 (Annexure P-4). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has recently filed a representation on 12.05.2026 before the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Kaithal (Annexure P-4) raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon.
