On account of death of Raj Kumar in a Motor Vehicular Accident, his family members filed a claim petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 seeking compensation from the driver, owner and insurer of the offending vehicle. The Tribunal has awarded an amount of Rs. 14,84,856/- and held the respondents liable to pay the said amount jointly and severally along with interest. 2. Assailing the award on the aspect of quantum of compensation, it is argued by learned counsel that deceased was a milk vendor and was running a dairy business and therefore, his income should not be considered as that of the unskilled labourer. Learned counsel submits that a photocopy of milk dairy register was produced as Ex.P-1 before the Tribunal by the widow of the deceased. 3.
