Through the instant writ petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the respondents to review the promotions of ETT Teachers to the post of Head Teacher made in District Bathinda and to grant promotion to an ETT Teacher belonging to the visually impaired category, with retrospective effect, along with all consequential benefits, including interest. The petitioner further seeks a direction to the respondents to post him, upon promotion, as Head Teacher at Government Elementary School, Mall Road (Girls), Bathinda, by creating a post of Head Teacher earmarked for the visually impaired category. 2.
