The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners for appointment to the post of Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) in Advertisement No.BFU-25/19 and to grant them similar concessions as was given to the Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) and also to Class 4 employee promoted in 2023 (Annexure P-9) in view of the fact that the petitioners are similarly situated and are ex-serviceman for which more than 100 posts are lying vacant. 2.
