In the present petition, on 03.07.2026, following order was passed:- “1. Petitioner – Simran Kaur, aged 17 years, has filed present petition, through her aunt Mamta, seeking issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3, to protect her life and liberty from her own parents, brother and maternal uncle, i.e. respondent Nos.4 to 7. 2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a minor and her family members are exerting undue pressure upon her to marry an unknown person, who is considerably older than her.
