Present petition has been filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No. 24 dated 10.03.2026, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 21, 27-A, 29, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Mattewal, District Amritsar (Rural). 2. The gravamen of the FIR in question pertains to recovery of 7 grams of heroin and alleged drug money amounting to ₹500/- from the present petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has iterated that the petitioner is in custody since 10.03.2026.
