On 30.4.2026, the following order was passed: ‘Apprehending his arrest in FIR No.69 dated 14.03.2026, registered for offences punishable under Section 420 of IPC, at Police Station Canal Colony, Bathinda, District Bathinda (Punjab); the petitioner has preferred this petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking pre-arrest bail. Inter alia contends that agreement to sell in question, which forms basis of FIR in question, is dated 26.07.2023, whereas, the FIR in question was registered on 14.03.2026; the FIR has essentially civil/ property relates overtones, the petitioner is a man with clean antecedents, & the petitioner is willing to join investigation and cooperate therein.
