The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 to correct the petitioner's date of birth, as the date of birth of the petitioner is wrongly recorded as 09.10.2007 instead of 20.04.2004 particularly in matriculation certificate. 2. Learned counsel for respondents-PSEB contends that the petitioner has not applied for correction of date of birth in the matriculation certificate as per the record available with the respondents.
