The substantive prayer made in the instant petition reads thus: “a) Issue an appropriate direction to the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar, to expeditiously conclude the trial arising out of FIR No.245 dated 01.10.2019, Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar Rural, pending against the petitioner, preferably within a time-bound period as may be fixed by this Hon’ble Court.” 2. Notice of motion. 3. On the strength of advance copy; Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG, Punjab causes appearance on behalf of the respondent-State. 4.
