## Judgment text (excerpt)

123 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CWP-20922-2026 Date of Decision : 13.07.2026 PARAMPAL SINGH AND OTHERS .....Petitioners VERSUS STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS .....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present : Mr. H.S.Saini, Advocate, for the petitioners. Mr. Sahil R. Bakshi, AAG, Punjab. KULDEEP TIWARI, J.(Oral) 1. The main grievance which propelled the present petitioners to approach this Court by casting instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is the indolent and lackadaisical approach of the authority concerned, in not deciding their legal notice dated 25.05.2026 (Annexure P-13). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, in case a mandamus is passed upon respondents, to take a final decision on their legal notice (supra), in a time bound manner. 3. On the other hand, learned State counsel, who is present in Court, on an advance notice, submits that he has no objection, if the aforesaid direction is passed upon the respondent authorities. DHARAM VIR 2026.07.14 17:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-20922-2026 -2- 4. In view o
