2026: PHHG cosas Daily Lok Adalat Bench No.2. 512 FAO-3673-2025 MEENA DEVI VS JOGINDER AND OTHERS Present: Mr. Aashish Kumar, Advocate for the appellant. Mr. P.H.S. Pannu, Advocate for the respondent-Insurance Company. wea On 11.02.2026, on behalf of the appellant, proposal was made to enhance compensation by Rs.5,50,000/- over and above the amount awarded by the MACT in full and final settlement of the claim in this appeal and the matter was adjourned for concurrence of the respondent-Insurance Company. Today, learned counsel for the respondent-Insurance Company states that Company is agreeable to pay only an amount of Rs.5,30,000/- and not Rs.5,50,000/- over and above the amount awarded by the MACT. This counter-offer of Rs.5,30,000/- has been accepted by the learned counsel for the appellants who has signed the statement. Thus, as agreed, as per the statements of the learned counsel for the appellants and learned counsel for the respondent-Insurance Company (separately recorded), a sum of Rs.5,30,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Thirty Thousand only) over and above the amount awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellant in full and final settlement of the claim in this appeal.
