The petitioners have filed the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent No.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. 2. In compliance of order dated 02.07.2026 passed by this Court, short reply by way of an affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub- Division Khadur Sahib, Camp at Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran has been filed on behalf of the respondent-State in Court today and the same is taken on record.
