The instant revision petition has been filed by the petitioners challenging the judgment of conviction and order on quantum of sentence, both dated 13.02.2014, passed by the Court of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Sunam (hereinafter referred to as ‘the trial Court’) in case arising out of FIR No. 25 dated 07.03.2009, registered under Sections 325, 323, 34 and 506 of IPC at Police Station Sadar Sunam, District Sangrur, whereby the petitioners were held guilty and convicted for commission of offences punishable under Sections 325, 323, 506 read with Section 34 of IPC and were sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a maximum period of two years with default clause of fine.
