This appeal has been instituted by claimant against the Award dated 03.05.2002 passed by Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Rupnagar (for short “Tribunal”) for enhancement of compensation awarded in MACT Case No.9 of 24.01.2000 in a petition under Section 166 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 vide which a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- has been awarded as compensation to the claimant/appellant along with interest @ 9% per annum on account of injuries suffered by her in a motor vehicular accident which took place on 20.12.1999, due to rash and negligent driving by respondent No.1, while driving offending vehicle bearing No.99D 115990 x (for short ‘offending vehicle’), which was owned by respondent No.2.
