Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS/482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the official respondents No.2 & 3, to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their life at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6. 2. Petitioner No. 1 is legally wedded to Harpreet Singh/respondent No.6, and one daughter was born out of the said wedlock, who is presently in the custody of her mother.
