(ORAL) 1. The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the petitioners salary in the minimum regular pay scale with dearness allowance in terms of law laid down by the Supreme Court in State of Punjab Vs. Jagjit Singh, 2016 SCT 641 and various other judgments on the issue from the date of their appointment and to pay the arrears for the said period along with interest @ 18% per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for their grievance, the petitioners have also served a legal notice dated 22.05.2026 (Annexure P-3) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration.
