The present petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 439 Cr.P.C.), seeking grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 88 dated 08.04.2026, registered under Sections 22, 27-A and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station B-Division, Police District Amritsar, during the pendency of trial. 2. As per the prosecution case, on 08.04.2026, ASI Munish Kumar along with other police officials was on patrol duty in the area of Ganda Singh Colony, Tarn Taran Road, Amritsar, in search of suspicious persons.
