The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing/setting aside the finance circular No.3/1/2021- 3FPPC/276 dated 29.10.2021 (Annexure P-4), issued by the Government of Punjab, Department of Finance, for the revision of pension of pre-01.01.2016 retiree pensioners/family pensioners, as the same being contrary to the recommendation of the 6th Punjab Pay Commission, which was duly approved by the Government of Punjab and notified on 05.07.2021 (Annexure P-3) known as Punjab Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2021.
