The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 (corresponding Section 482 Cr.P.C.) for quashing of FIR No.97 dated 23.12.2000, under Sections 420, 120-B of IPC (now Sections 318(4), 61(2) of BNS, 2023), registered at Police Station City Jalalabad, District Fazilka along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise deed dated 20.02.2026 (Annexure P-2). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the FIR is outcome of a monetary dispute which has now been resolved and with the intervention of the respectables of the Society, the matter has indeed been compromised between the parties. He has referred to a copy of the compromise in this regard at Annexure P-2
