The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the respondents to provide adequate security to the petitioner in view of the alleged threat to his life and liberty at the hands of gangsters and to protect his rights under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been receiving threats from gangster Rohit Godara and apprehends danger to his life as well as the lives of his family members. It is submitted that although the threat still exists, the security earlier provided to the petitioner was withdrawn on a wrong interpretation of the order passed by this Court.
