We have gone through the affidavit in support of the application seeking condonation of delay. Cause shown is sufficient which is on the procedural grounds. Accordingly, the application is allowed. Delay is condoned. (Order on memo of appeal) 4. Sri Badrish Tripathi, learned counsel for the State is present. None appears for the contesting respondents. 5. By means of this appeal filed under Chapter VIII Rule 5 of the Allahabad High Court Rules, 1952, the State has challenged the judgment and order dated 19.05.2005 passed in Writ Petition No.2524 (S/S) of 1998 [Devi Deen Singh vs. State of U.P. & Ors.] by which the writ court disposed of the said writ petition filed by the husband (since deceased) of the respondent with a direction
