Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following substantial relief: "(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the concerned respondent to grant the arrears of House Rent Allowance from May 2023 to July2025 along with an interest @ 9%." Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the respondent no. 2, who shall be directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law.
