This writ petition has been filed against an order which has been passed under section 14(1) of the U.P. Gangster and Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act'). 2. Learned AGA has raised a primary objection to the filing of the writ petition and stated that the petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy of filing an application under section 15 of the Act. 3. Without going into the merits of the case, we provide that in the event the petitioner files an application within a week before the District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur, the same shall be decided within a period of ten days thereafter. 4.
