On the allegation that he had submitted a forged Employment Exchange Card while applying for recruitment to the post of Constable (Exe) in the Delhi Police in 2002, FIR 185/2004 was lodged against the respondent under Sections 420/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code, 18601 at PS Mukherjee Nagar. Following this, on the same allegations, a Departmental Enquiry was also initiated against the respondent, under the provisions of the Delhi Police (Punishment and Appeals) Rules, 19802 vide order dated 27 July 20123.
