Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following substantial relief: "(a). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities, to pay the Ex-gratia Amount (Anubhag Rashi) of Rs.20 Lakhs on account of becoming Permanent Disabled (85% disabled) during the course of duty, in pursuance of the Government Order dated 05/01/2019, issued by the respondent authorities, along with interest." Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in above regard petitioner has already approached the authority concerned for consideration of his claim by means of a representation dated 15th April, 2025 which has remained pending till date.
